DOPE, which stands for Data on Previous Engagements, is a system used in shooting, particularly long-range and competitive shooting, to record and use data from past shots to improve accuracy in future engagements. It involves collecting information on factors like bullet performance, environmental conditions, and shooter adjustments to create a personalized ballistic “cheat sheet,” often a physical “DOPE card,” for quick reference. The data helps compensate for bullet drop, windage, and other variables to achieve consistent, precise shots at different distances.

Go out, do the work (shoot, zero, chrono, ballistics app, verify at various distances) and then use these stickers to make a cheat sheet for whatever rifle you would like, record the ammo data on the top, and then distances and corrections in the chart. They are intentionally left blank so that you can write in whatever distances matter to you the most for that given rifle and ammo combo. We have found that an Ultra Fine Point Sharpie works well and will not smear after just a few seconds of drying.
